Stephanie and Vantario are Engaged: 07/23/11

Hope and Steven Get Married: 07/09/11

Greetings Everyone,

On Saturday, July 9th, I drove just down the road a bit to the town of Buhl where I photographed the wedding of Hope and Steve. They got married in a very nice church ceremony in front of friends and family, and then they celebrated with a very relaxed and laid back reception. Steve is a volunteer firefighter so he wanted to incorporate that into the style of the wedding, as you will see.

Michael and Zoey: 06/29/11

Greetings Everyone,

On Wednesday, June 29th, I had the pleasure of photographing Michael and his daughter Zoey at the Birmingham Botanical Garden for a morning portrait session. I've known Michael since grade school, and it was great to be able to photograph him and his little girl in such a picturesque setting. The weather was fabulous and the heat hadn't yet set in fully so it made for a great session. Hope and Steven Are Engaged: 06/18/11

Maggie and Alex Are Married: 06/04/11

Greetings Everyone,

On Saturday, June 4th, DSmithImages hit the road to Louisiana once again... this time to photograph the wedding of Maggie and Alex in Alexandria. The ceremony, which was an outdoor one, was held at The Melady House in Alexandria, and it made for a beautiful early Summer wedding. I actually used to work for Maggie's father so I have known the family for a while, and it was my definite pleasure to drive down and capture the memories of their big day.

Maureen and Jeremy Are Married: 05/28/11

Greetings Everyone,

On Saturday, May 28th, 2011, DSmithImages took things on the road and photographed the wedding of Maureen and Jeremy in Shreveport, Louisiana. The wedding was held in the chapel of Centenary College as both Maureen and Jeremy met in school when they sang for the choir. After the wedding on campus, they held their reception on the banks of the Red River in downtown Shreveport, which made for a great evening setting. Maureen and Jeremy were an absolute delight to photograph, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of hitting the road and, again, going somewhere new to photograph.

Beth and Nick are Married: 05-13-11

Greetings Everyone,

On Friday, May 13th, I had the distinct pleasure of travelling to beautiful Troy, Alabama to photograph the wedding of Beth and Nick. They got married in a small but beautiful ceremony at Nick's grandparents home, which was located very close to the campus of Troy University. Even though the rain put a damper on their outdoor wedding plans, the family improvised and held the ceremony on the screened porch and things went off without a hitch.

Sophia: 4/24/11

I just wanted to share with you some photos from a portrait shoot I did on Easter Sunday. I met up with Sophia and her family at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens to do some photos before Sophia makes her 1st Communion on Sunday, May 1st. It was a lovely day, and Sophia and her parents were great to work with as well.

Angelia and Matt Are Engaged: 04/10/11

On Sunday, April 10th, DSmithImages headed east to Atlanta to do an engagement shoot for Angelia and Matt. Angelia and Matt will be getting married at The W Hotel in Midtown Atlanta so we met there for a round of photos, and then we headed to beautiful and lively Piedmont Park for another round of photos. The couple was a blast to work with, and I'm looking forward to heading back to Atlanta in a few weeks to photograph their wedding.
