Michael and Zoey: 06/29/11

Greetings Everyone,

On Wednesday, June 29th, I had the pleasure of photographing Michael and his daughter Zoey at the Birmingham Botanical Garden for a morning portrait session. I've known Michael since grade school, and it was great to be able to photograph him and his little girl in such a picturesque setting. The weather was fabulous and the heat hadn't yet set in fully so it made for a great session. Hope and Steven Are Engaged: 06/18/11

Greetings Everyone,

I just wanted to share with you a sampling of photos I took during a recent engagement session. The couple, Hope and Steven, will be getting married in July, and they decided to have their photos done on the campus of the University of Alabama.

Maggie and Alex Are Married: 06/04/11

Greetings Everyone,

On Saturday, June 4th, DSmithImages hit the road to Louisiana once again... this time to photograph the wedding of Maggie and Alex in Alexandria. The ceremony, which was an outdoor one, was held at The Melady House in Alexandria, and it made for a beautiful early Summer wedding. I actually used to work for Maggie's father so I have known the family for a while, and it was my definite pleasure to drive down and capture the memories of their big day.

Maureen and Jeremy Are Married: 05/28/11

Greetings Everyone,

On Saturday, May 28th, 2011, DSmithImages took things on the road and photographed the wedding of Maureen and Jeremy in Shreveport, Louisiana. The wedding was held in the chapel of Centenary College as both Maureen and Jeremy met in school when they sang for the choir. After the wedding on campus, they held their reception on the banks of the Red River in downtown Shreveport, which made for a great evening setting. Maureen and Jeremy were an absolute delight to photograph, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of hitting the road and, again, going somewhere new to photograph.
